Furio Zanasi is one of the most renowned specialists in Europe in the Monteverdi and early seventeenth century Italian repertoire. He has performed in all the most important festivals in Italy and abroad, working with conductors such as René Jacobs, Jordi Savall, Alan Curtis, Gabriel Garrido, Maurizio Pollini, Ivor Bolton, Reinhard Goebel, Rinaldo Alessandrini, Alessandro De Marchi, Ottavio Dantone, Andrea Marcon, Philippe Herrewege, Thomas Hengelbrock, Diego Fasolis, Riccardo Chailly.

After his debut as Marcello in La Boheme in 1987 Battistini Competition, he sang for theaters such as Opera di Roma, Bellini of Catania, Nuovo di Spoleto, Ponchielli of Cremona, Grande in Brescia, Sociale in Como, Petruzzelli of Bari, Comunale of Ferrara, Alighieri of Ravenna, Fraschini of Pavia, Reggio Emilia, Massimo of Palermo, Messina, Dresdner Semper Oper, Liceu in Barcelona, Zarzuela of Madrid, Basel Theater, La Fenice, Teatro Regio in Turin, Teatro San Carlo in Naples, Staatsoper Muenchen , Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, Opera de Lyon, Hannover, Norske Opera Oslo, La Scala, Vlaamse Opera, Opéra Garnier Paris, Opera de Bordeaux, La Monnaie, Theatre de Caen, Luxembourg, NY Lincoln Center, Teatro Colon, etc.

He is also interested in vocal chamber music, with particular attention to the German Lied.
